# Payment reminders: chase an overdue invoice without being a pain

> No more chasing invoices. And no more agonising over the “hey, about my invoice…” email.

## You know what's overdue

Every invoice has its due date and its status: pending, overdue or paid. When one falls due, it shows up in Today, the first thing you see when you open the app, with what's owed and since when.

## The reminder, already written

“Chase it” opens the email with a friendly reminder, the due date written out and the link to the invoice. Read it, change it if you like and send it. After that, Today stops asking for a week: nobody wants to chase every morning.

## Or let it send itself

On a client's page, turn on “Remind them about overdue payments”. If one of their invoices falls due, Nyrut sends a courtesy reminder after 3 days and another after 15, from your address and with your name. It's off by default: your client gets nothing you haven't asked for. (Needs a subscription.)

## And it stops on its own

As soon as you mark it paid, by hand or by matching the payment from your bank statement, not one more reminder goes out.
