# What do you need to file?

Two questions. We'll tell you which forms are yours and when the next one's due. No account, no email and no chasing you afterwards.

For Spain it's the common regime: the Basque Country and Navarre run their own tax offices, with their own forms and deadlines. For the US, federal estimated tax only.

## Quarterly deadlines, at a glance

- **Spain · Q1 (Jan–Mar): 303 and 130**: 1–20 April
- **Spain · Q2 (Apr–Jun)**: 1–20 July
- **Spain · Q3 (Jul–Sep)**: 1–20 October
- **Spain · Q4 (Oct–Dec)**: 1–30 January of the next year
- **US · 1040-ES, Jan–Mar**: 15 April
- **US · 1040-ES, Apr–May**: 15 June
- **US · 1040-ES, Jun–Aug**: 15 September
- **US · 1040-ES, Sep–Dec**: 15 January of the next year

If the last day falls on a weekend or a public holiday, the deadline moves to the next business day. In Spain only national holidays count; in the US, federal and District of Columbia holidays.

- **Quarterly VAT return**: 303
- **Income tax advance payment**: 130 — Under direct assessment. You're exempt if at least 70% of last year's income had tax withheld.
- **Corporate tax advance payments**: 202 — If it applies: April, October and December.
